Fine food and wine have been two driving forces in Pat Kettlewell’s life. She has worked with the who’s who of the restaurant industry in Melbourne, gaining an extensive knowledge of food and wine whilst assembling an exceptional network of contacts along the way.
Pat’s love of wine and restaurants led her to become the first female sommelier in Melbourne, when in 1989 she accepted the position at Marchetti’s Latin. Pat remained at Marchetti’s Latin for eight years during which time she reorganised the cellar, trained the cellar staff and instigated a range of promotional activities. Her hard work resulted in the restaurant winning the Australian Wine List Awards for Victoria in 1995.

Pat’s career has also included working with restaurateurs Leon Massoni, Maggie Taylor and Hermann Schneider and managing her own restaurant.

Distribution of Elgee Park Wines has steadily increased since Pat joined Elgee Park in September 2000 in the sales and marketing role. Pat has been responsible for Elgee Park Wines appearing in more and more restaurants and retail shops throughout Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula. Her passion for wine and never-ending enthusiasm for Elgee Park Wines in particular, means that you are sure to meet Pat soon at one of her many promotional activities for the brand.
