Laurence Tedesco has been associated with Elgee Park for 25 years. As a child, he often helped his father, who was head gardener at the Myer family property for many years.

Laurence developed an interest in horticulture and viticulture at a young age. After leaving school in 1984, Laurence completed an apprenticeship with the Shire of Flinders. He began working at Elgee Park as a gardener in 1988.

It was not long before Laurence's interest in vineyard management took precedence and he began working full-time in the vineyard. His experience in viticulture developed as he worked closely with the winemakers and wine consultants.

In 1991, Laurence completed an Advanced Certificate of Horticulture at Burnley. Since then his knowledge has widened thanks to the ever-growing challenges that a developing vineyard brings.

Laurence is now also involved in customer service and sales at Elgee Park and is quite likely to be the person taking your call should you ring for information or to order wine.
